The ACTPlan video education program consists of four weekly, one-hour interactive class sessions on serious treatment decisions for loved ones with dementia. Each topic discussed builds on content delivered from the preceding classes include, the dementias, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), MV (Mechanical Ventilation) TF (Tube Feeding) and Advance Care Planning. Class discussions are stimulated by thought-provoking questions generated, animated presentations, lived experiences expressed by participants and other activities. Homework assignments are designed to encourage sharing the new information learned in class with family members.
